Since the debut of the Reality Series, Mark Glencorse, Thaddeus Setla and myself, Justin Schorr, have recieved remarkable emails, messages and posts about how you enjoyed the show.

When Mark and I set out to visit each other’s systems to learn how each other do the same job completely differently, we knew people would want to know about it, but we had no idea it would get such “rave” reviews.

Writers that questioned our motives early on now support the efforts the Chronicles has outlined and are excited to see what we have in store for you next.

And that brings me to the most common question we’re receiving:

What’s next?

Well shoot, what do you want to see?  That’s what that Social Television subtitle is up there on the banner.  We might have a certain agenda in promoting EMS as a profession, or sharing best practices, but how we go about that is really up to you, the viewer.  Think of us as an EMS choose your own adventure.

We’re not here to ram an agenda or a product down your throats or to tell you how things are going to be.  I’d like to think that the Chronicles, as a whole, allow field providers to open the channels of communication, not only with us here, but in your station, post, yard or home.

The barriers are gone and we’re talking about making this thing we call EMS better.  Talk is good. But I’ve been told many times actions speak louder than words.

You have seen our actions in our Reality Series premiere when mark came to visit San Francisco.  We are working hard on showing you the other side of that exchange, but it takes time to convince Department heads and Executives that cameras and twitter updates can be a positive thing.  Like  I have said before, imagine Me, Mark, Ted and the Dridge on the steps of your headquarters with 15 minutes notice to your Chief and let’s see if they approve it.

We were lucky to have an understanding Administration who embraced what we were doing, even when we were unsure of the impact it was going to have on all of you.

So, what’s next?

Travel.

Filming.

EMS.

Learning.

Sharing.

You can find us at EMSToday in Baltimore march 4-6th as guests of premiere sponsor Zoll (Booth 3707).  After that we have some exciting plans to travel the Nation, the Continent and the World in search of what EMS is and what it could be.

Join us.  In whatever way you choose.  You can watch the episodes, join in the A Seat at the Table discussions, comment on twitter and facebook, meet us at a regional event or tweetup or organize permissions for the show to come to your system and show us what you do.

The future is whatever we want it to be.  So what do YOU want it to be?
